But, why do we use PET for packaging?
Let’s start at the beginning. PET stands for Polyethylene Terephthalate, which is a strong synthetic fiber and resin. As a member of the polyester polymer family, PET preforms can be blow-molded to make PET bottles and jars, spun into fabric, and extruded into photographic film.
